We have worked with AccessAble so you can find out about our facilities before you visit. AccessAble’s surveyors assessed our venue to create a Detailed Access Guide. Check out the Detailed Access Guide to Scottish Dolphin Centre.
The interactive exhibition, shop and café are fully accessible to wheelchair users and those with low mobility. There is no easy access to the beach, which is made up of shingle and is therefore difficult to walk on. However, there is a small hill up to a grassy area that is ideal for dolphin watching which may be a good alternative for those who cannot access the beach.
The Icehouse has cobbled flooring, low beams and low lighting and can be difficult for those with low mobility. There are mats on the floor to make it more even and the Dry Dive has a wooden walkway. Please contact us for more information on 01343 820339 or [email protected]. We would be happy to show any visitor in the Icehouse before a tour if they wanted to assess the accessibility for themselves or others in their group.
